BUMBA

High resolution modelling of NO₂ exposure

Objective

The BUMBA project, or Belgian Urban NO2 Monitoring based on APEX hyperspectral data, aims to develop hourly high-resolution maps of NO2 concentrations and to provide a population exposure calculation for Belgium. To this end, the existing RIO-IFDM model at city level will be optimised using data on the total NO2 column from the Airborne Prism Experiment (APEX).
