ATMOSYS

Advanced modelling systems and web services in support of air pollution policy

Objective

The ATMOSYS project aims to develop and demonstrate an advanced air quality modelling system and make it available as a web service to support air pollution policies in hotspot regions. A high degree of usability is pursued by emphasising relevant spatial scales and pollutants, and by including exposure estimates. In addition, attention is paid to the reliability of the air quality model in terms of both accuracy and operational stability. Finally, broad dissemination and a high level of accessibility are aimed for by providing web-based interfaces.
